I actually like binge watching shows. You watch all of the episodes without a single opinion given anywhere because of your own concentration on the show. Depending on how much I liked a show, I'll look around and see what some may think. But not all that important.
For example. The Umbrella Academy is really good TV show on Netflix. It's getting a second season but I can tell you as much as I love the show, I don't participate in a forum for it. I see tweets here or there from its own account which is the most I'll do. The only thing I did was look up the differences between the comic book its based off of and how it was adapted. I can say, that I don't need to read the comic book.
With Shadowhunters, I've not only quit a forum, but because of my twitter feed, I've muted and block several fans because of their words. I no longer needed or wanted those views. I stick to the show's accounts and the positive fan updates via twitter. I was contemplating just waiting for it to be over and then binge the ending. But ... only 2 weeks and its done. I can handle the appointment setting for it. I bought it off Amazon and its much easier to watch without ads.
I find that whatever we discuss here is easier because, in general its just us, while we discuss stuff, its not antagonistic. I can't even think of anything heated here. (Well, I can but that issue was resolved. LOL)
Once MMX is done, I'm done. I'm supporting Gambit but I can no longer justify money on him to be stuck with other characters that do not make me happy. I haven't even read one issue. Waiting for 11 and 12 because of the guilds. But if it gets ruined for me by the zealots, it may sit for a few weeks before opening the book if at all.
I don't see myself wanting whatever new book both characters end up in, because its a team book and he's stuck to Rogue. Twenty pages, probably 6 or more members, we're looking at very little panel time. Then factor in the price for the content, its hard to say, yeah, I gotta have that.
I have tried Manga, I have a few books and I try it out from time to time. It's hard to find ones I like though. Yeah, the right-to-left can be confusing. The last manga I read was a Dark Hunters manga based on the novels. Mostly because I wanted to see the art of how the characters would look and it was done well, very close to the books.
There was an Xmen one, that was suppose to be three book series but due to poor sales it got canceled after the first book. The lead character was Kitty, but what was fun was Gambit was in it and he liked to cook and she loved the food he made.
Sure, tell which books you think might appeal to me. Can't hurt right? LOL
