It all comes from the subversive side of the Left. The desire to tear down all institutions. It comes from the problem of not treating being straight, white, male or cis-gendered as a part of diversity. Instead it is treated as the opposite of diversity. You also get some of that on the religious spectrum with Christians and Jews in opposition to Muslims and Atheists. There is a line of difference between being for something and against something else, and for a lot of people they crossed right over that line like they didn't even see it was there.

The only thing keeping a lot of the current-left from completely hating on and attacking each other is the one greater shared hate of Conservatives/Republicans/Trump and his supporters. It's like Lord of the Rings. One hate to bind them, one hate to rule them all...

The current-far-Left is about dividing everyone into groups and fostering hate over it. I understand it benefits them politically but it is destroying our country. Where I live, people are openly talking about the increasing likelihood of another civil war in America, probably coming sooner rather than later... only this time fought between the political Left and Right, or more accurately, the current-Far-Left and everyone else.

It's why you're seeing such a rise in antisemitism right now in the Leftist political parties in both the U.S. and Britain. It is getting really bad in England right now for Jewish people. Some are starting to relocate to America like they did in the run up to World War II, but we are not the haven we once were. Remember, the Jewish people are often sadly the 'canaries in the coal mines' on things like this. It's an old story that keeps repeating. They label certain groups like the Jewish people 'privileged', and then they demonize said group and then marginalize them, all in the name of protecting others. The current-left likes to call everyone Nazis while pushing hard right now for Socialism, but the real NAZI party was the 'National Socialist German Worker's Party' of Germany. Real Nazism grew out of far-left politics.

Imagine Nazism reinterpreted, where a modern Aryan-like ideal is non-straight, non-white, non-male, non-cis-gendered and non-Judeo-Christian. Where the further you get away from being straight, white, male, cis-gendered or Judeo-Christian the more idealized you are, and the closer you are to any of it, the more inferior you are. You can include other obvious groups into it as well. Agism against the old to get rid of anyone with any life experience, wisdom or common sense. Anyone with a decent knowledge of history and of human nature can see where this is all going and it isn't good.
