I know we've been over this a few times. I had not realized that was the entire direction for the book.
If what BC is true, then I would guess Daniel Ketchum will be the editor.
There is so much more to Iceman than his sexuality - I gotta admit, if this is the case I'm disappointed but I will give the book a shot for a few issues anyway.
"Threads" - pfft. More like trolling when it was allowed to run so rampant. It's the fans fault huh? No, not the fans fault. It was the trolls fault. Because they had to be so vocal about it.
I saw an article on Bleeding Cool that said Marvel is giving the book an entirely gay creative team(it names them so I would assume it is accurate), and how unprecedented that is, to go so far to make the book 100% authentically gay. That the focus of the book will be on him exploring his sexuality(so I would guess that will be the focus of it and the why of it and probably almost everything else.) They are definitely giving the people for whom this was their personal fan-wankery pretty much everything they could want.
There's also another article with a Mavel editor saying that it's fans fault that Iceman is now gay, that there were "threads". That Bendis didn't just make this up.
There was a thread about Steve Rogers being gay on the old CBR, to rival the Iceman one, and another about him secretly being in love with Tony Stark. I saw on Jimmy Kimmel a few months back that #givecaptainamericaaboyfriend was trending on Twitter, with people pushing for Marvel to out Steve as gay.
I don't see any of that happening, probably because Steve is headlining blockbuster solo and Avengers films and Iceman is a supporting character in a rival studio's films. Iceman was big enough for them to get the hoopla Marvel wanted, and small enough for them to get away with it.

Okay, guess I'll dip my toe into all of this... Been playing catchup on everything that has been happening while I was mostly out of the loop.
