I felt like All-New should have it's own thread. I'd do one for Uncanny but I'm only reading it sporadically.
I am sooo torn about this book. I like being able to read about teen-Iceman(and the others 05 too), I generally enjoy reading each issue, and yet I feel they should have been sent back to their own time several issues ago(I know they are now stranded in the present via plot device). And with Cyclops off in space and the 04 about to head to the Ultimate Marvel Universe they aren't going back anytime soon. So since they are staying here, might as well deal with them. On with the thread.

Recap of latest issue: All-New X-Men #30
{Spoiler warning - click me to read!}X-23 wakes up in bed as Warren flies in through open balcony doors. She asks where they are and he says a family estate. She doesn't remember getting there. We get a flashback sequence to a fight at a nightclub and Warren flying her away. She asks why he likes her. She says she's done stuff in her past, he tells her to stop trying to talk him out of liking her.
Cut to the "Secret Xavier School". Emma is trying to provoke Jean into attacking her, part of Jean's training. It's not working. Bobby seems to have bonded a bit with Mindee and is having her telepathically relay what's going on between Emma and Jean, Hank thinks it's a bad idea. Jean throws old jean being the love of Scott's life in Emma's face, Emma throws images of her 'psychic' affair with Scott back in Jean's. Jean unleashes hell on her(metaphor, no actual hell dimensions were involved). The red-headed Cuckoo(I forgot which one has red hair now) seems to like Bobby less than Mindee and telekinetically dumps a bowl of food on Bobby's head. Jena has Emma down and is on top of her and Emma is still trying to provoke her.
Cut to Kitty chatting via hologram with Peter Quill who is on the other side of the galaxy. They both admit to having intimacy issues. They get interrupted by Hank and Bobby, who are concerned Jean and Emma will kill each other(Bobby - "They're going to murder each other to death"). Everyone comes running only to find Emma and Jean sitting cross-legged facing each other, presumably locked in psychic combat. Until they start laughing. Apparently Jean and Emma have 'bonded' and are now friends. The realization that hell has frozen over(metaphor again, still no actual hell dimensions involved) is interrupted by the roar of the Blackbird overhead.
Bobby, Hank and Storm are there to collect people for the reading of Xavier's Will, including Cyclops. The Will story will be continued in Uncanny, and All-New heads into the Ultimate Universe next issue.
My take: It was good, if light on story. There were three pages with no text, just art, and several more that fared little better. Bendis still excels at writing teen-Iceman. I don't feel he's quite capturing Laura's voice, though his Angel seems fine. It's funny that Kitty seems to have dumped Bobby only to start dating his space-faring brother-from-another-mother. It's be like Kitty breaking up with Bobby only to start dating Spider-Man(wait, Ultimate Kitty did that!).
Jean and Emma bonding? I suppose it's better than continually hissing and spitting at each other, even if it feels unbelievable. I can't imagine Jean and Emma liking each other even if neither had ever heard of Scott Summers. Looking forward to the Will reading in Uncanny, and the 04's adventure in the Ultimate Universe.
