Years ago, I was a casualty of a Disney buy-out. Working for a small but very successful company for several years, and doing what I liked. Back then, my company worked closely with Fox, and created the Fox Kids Network, which included the 90's X-Men Animated show, Power Rangers, and a few other highly successful shows. Then, as the popularity of the Power Rangers became evident, Disney decided they'd cut the competition, and flat out bought us out. I don't specifically remember what the dollar amount was for the merger, but as you would expect, many people lost our jobs months later, including myself. Some were lucky enough to transfer over to the Disney side, while the vast majority of the others lay to waste. It was literally then that I decided to get out of the entertainment industry... Okay, maybe not, and maybe it was a few years later that I finally did leave, but it was an eye opening experience on the power of Disney.
Even after all these years, "Disney's Power Rangers" still seems to be a very strong very strong property indeed. My guess is that it'll live on forever at the house of mouse, and end up on some streaming service, much like all the other acquisitions they acquired from Fox... And I hope that's the case with those 90's X-Men animated episodes too.
Wanna hear something funny, I use to work with the guy that made the "Previously, On X-Men" announcement at the beginning of each episode. He was just an average employee that worked in the Licensing and Merchandising department. No special voiceover training, no vocal coach, or anything like that. They just used him because A) he had a deep voice, and B) to save money on a real voiceover actor. He started just a few months before I did and landed the gig, and had I started at the company before him, I probably could have been immortalized doing that voiceover. However, I was fortunate enough to do so by secretly incorporating my initials in the style guide artwork of Lord Zedd of the Power Rangers (2nd season), since I was the one that drew most of the art at the time.
